Book 1
Origins: Mornington Peninsula
Past, Present, Future
Where our story begins
Origins: Mornington Peninsula, the very first edition in the series. We journeyed through time with three generations and one unforgettable coastline. From convict escapes at Sullivan Bay to forgotten tram tracks in Sorrento, we uncovered the Peninsula’s layered past.
Fold out pages, side by side images, and immersive stories brought its transformation to life. From bushland to beaches, pubs to piers.
It’s the Mornington Peninsula as seen across generations.

Book 2
Origins: Ballarat
The Goldfields Rebellion
Uncover the gold beneath the dust
In Origins: Ballarat – The Goldfields Rebellion, we stepped into the goldfields of Victoria’s most storied part of its history. From the high hopes of the diggers to the rebellion at Eureka, we followed the spark that helped forge a colony’s identity.
Through repurposed hotels, scarred landscapes, and the whispers of miners long gone, we traced how this town rose. Rich in ambition, built on resistance.
It’s Ballarat as seen through the eyes of its Goldfields.

Book 3
Origins: Melbourne
Foundations of a City
From the ground up
In Origins: Melbourne – Foundations of a City, we walked the bluestone paths and traced Melbourne’s growth to the very beginning. From the dreams of Fawkner and Batman, to the foundations that shaped its streets.
Through iconic buildings, relocated facades, and stories buried beneath the noise, we rediscovered how this city was built. Brick by brick, street by street.
It’s Melbourne as seen from its Foundations

Book 4
Origins: Melbourne
Skylines of a City
Look, up in the sky
In Origins: Melbourne – Skylines of a City, we look up from the horizon. From above, Melbourne reveals its patterns. The geometry of the Hoddle Grid, the curve of the Yarra, the suburbs that stretch and sprawl.
Partnering with aerial photographer Nicole Hicks, we paired historical aerials with modern day drone imagery to show how the city has climbed skyward. From church spires to glass towers.
